Police in Brandon are looking into a possible murder-suicide following the tragic death of an adult male and female on the 300 block of Toulon Street on Saturday, December 28th, shortly after 7:15 a.m.
According to Brandon Police Chief Joseph French, family members were at the house doing a welfare check on their daughter when they discovered clear evidence of foul play.
According to French, when police arrived on the site, they discovered the dead of Brandon Sheffield, 40, and Jennifer Sheffield, 30.

The victim Jennifer Murillo Sheffield was a native of Raleigh, Mississippi but was born and raised in Brandon, Mississippi. Jenny worked at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in emergency medicine. She studied Master’s Degree in biomedical science at Mississippi College.

Relatives of Jennifer Sheffield expressed shock and grief over the tragedy. One family member stated, “This is something you never think could happen in your own family. Jennifer was a kind and loving person, and this is a devastating loss.”
