Dr Barbara Wolf Oxford, MI: Flint Man Malik Letroy Webb Charged in deadly shooting that injured two
A Flint man has been charged with 19 felony counts, including felony murder, for a Christmas Eve shooting in Oxford that claimed one life and injured two others.
Authorities report that 29-year-old Malik Letroy Webb allegedly shot and killed Dr. Barbara Wolf after she stopped to assist him when his car went off the road near Ray Road and North Oxford Road around 6:15 PM on December 24. Wolf’s 38-year-old daughter, who was a passenger in her vehicle, was also shot during the incident.
A 56-year-old man from Oxford, who stopped to help, suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. In a separate attempt, a 39-year-old woman from Oxford Township was held at gunpoint in a failed carjacking effort. Dr. Wolf was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
Wolf’s daughter remains hospitalized in serious condition, while the other victims have been treated, with one discharged from care.
“This violent and heinous act is tragic on every level,” said Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. “It’s yet another case of a convicted felon with prior weapons charges being released back into the community, only to cause more harm. This senseless murder could have been avoided.”
